Farewell Mocha
Mocha Yazwinski left this life, quietly at home, on June 10th 2005 at the venerable old age of 14 years. She will be missed by all that she’s touched in her life and those she leaves behind: Kim, Rick, Adhara and Lil’Bear.
Mocha started life on less than stable footing but she was adopted by Kim and Rick when she was about 6 months old and from then on lived the “good life” as a Yazwinski pet.
Her last years have been filled with great joys from the point of view of a dog. She’s had acres to run on freely. She learned that she knew how to swim while chasing sticks in her 3 acre pond. She enjoyed squirming in dew covered, long grass around her property. She enjoyed sleeping beside the fireplace or in the sunbeam in the livingroom. She enjoyed pizza crust while watching TV at night.
These are the memories that she’d want to be remembered by.
Please use comments below to share your memories of Mocha and condolences for the family she left behind.
Rick and Kim;
My condolences on the passing of Mocha. I remember when she first came into your family and she would come up for a sniff and then back up and bark at me. I will miss her.
May she play and frolic at the feet of the Goddess. BB

I will never forget Mocha, nor will she ever forget how lucky she was to have people like you guys in her life. I’m so glad I had the chance to get to know and love her.
Love,
Carri/Athy

I will miss her nuzzling her nose against my lap more than I can say. I loved Mocha, and am sorry she had to say goodbye.

From when I first met Mocha to the last time I saw her, she became a different dog. As a pup, she was scared, angry and distrustful. With the amazing love of you guys and your furry family, she became the sweetest loving dog – I never imagined she would change like that.
She will be missed.

Mocha was the best dog it was possible for her to be in your care. Watching the lessons she and Sheba learned from you, Kim, Bear and Ami, she showed the stretch of possibility in the triumph of compassion over cruelty. I’ll miss her excitement, insistent snout and her beautiful eyes. She’s so lucky she had you guys looking out for her. I think if I’m very good in this life I might get to come back as one of your dogs.
